Do I need to be very flexible?
No, flexibility builds with practice. If you are already very flexible it will help build core strength.
Can anyone do yoga?
Yes, because we all work at our own level.
Am I going to be able to keep up with everyone else?
Yoga is non-competitive and progressive - you work at your own pace.
What type of yoga do you teach?
Hatha yoga, the most common form of yoga practised in the West today. The movements are fairly gentle, with special emphasis on linking breathing with movement, using active limbs. However, some of the postures are quite challenging, but approached in a progressive manner according to ability.
My special interest is the back, strengthening the supporting muscles and improving movement many of the muscles used for breathing also support the back.
